Bailey’s Natural Norfolk Topsoil – Quality from the Ground Up

Give your garden the best possible foundation with Bailey’s Natural Norfolk Topsoil – a carefully sourced, 100% natural topsoil that provides a quality growing environment for lawns, planting and landscaping projects.

Unlike many manufactured topsoils, which can be created by blending materials such as vegetable washings, sand, sawdust and compost, Bailey’s topsoil is naturally occurring soil. We believe this matters because healthy soil is much more than simply something to fill a bed or level a lawn.

Natural topsoil is a complex living ecosystem. The microorganisms and soil fauna within it play an important role in soil health, nutrient cycling and supporting healthy plant growth.

Natural Soil, Carefully Prepared

Our Norfolk topsoil is carefully sourced and minimally processed to preserve its natural characteristics. It is screened to approximately 10mm, removing larger stones and pebbles and producing a more consistent, workable soil that’s easier to spread, rake and cultivate.

This makes it an excellent choice for a wide range of garden and landscaping projects, including:

  • Creating and improving lawns
  • Filling beds and borders
  • General garden planting
  • Landscaping and garden renovation
  • Raising or levelling existing ground
  • Providing a quality base for planting projects

Trusted by Professionals

Quality topsoil isn’t just important in the garden. Bailey’s Natural Norfolk Topsoil forms the foundation of many of our specialist topdressings and growing blends, supplied to professional grounds staff and greenkeepers.

That same focus on soil quality goes into the topsoil we supply to our customers.

Start with Better Soil

Whether you’re creating a new lawn, refreshing your borders or tackling a larger landscaping project, what goes underneath can make a real difference to what grows above.

With Bailey’s Natural Norfolk Topsoil, you’re starting with carefully sourced, naturally occurring soil – screened for easier handling while retaining the characteristics that make natural topsoil such a valuable foundation for healthy gardens.

1 review for Norfolk Topsoil

  1. Alec Dawe (verified owner) –

We bought 2 bulk bags of Norfolk Topsoil to fill a new raised bed. Arrived very quickly in decent quality ‘ton’ bags. Very nice, crumbly soil, which is easy to plant inseams light, but also has lovely water retention properties. Once filled, the raised bed was planted this year with what was ‘left’ in the greenhouse, an odd mix of plants, Dahalias, ‘Bunny Rabbit’ plants, pansies, cosmos, you name it, it went in (its a big bed 3.8 metre long by 1.3 metre wide). We have had a gorgeous display of flowers, much admired, growing beautifully. Being raised, the few weeds that dared to appear were easily got out before they had time to develop.
We are now building 3 more raised beds, once complete, they will be filled with Norfolk Topsoil again. Excellent product.
