Eco Dressing – Top Dressing for Bowling Greens & Lawns
Bailey’s Eco Dressing is a carefully prepared top dressing designed to help create a true, smooth and level grass surface. Screened to 3mm for a fine, consistent finish, Eco Dressing is particularly suited to bowling greens and fine turf, while also being an excellent choice for domestic lawns.
Eco Dressing for Bowling Greens & Fine Turf
For bowling greens, maintaining a true, smooth and consistent playing surface is essential. Regular application of Eco Dressing helps fill small surface depressions, minor imperfections and crevices within the turf, gradually improving surface levels and helping bowls run more consistently across the green.
Used as part of a regular green maintenance programme, Eco Dressing can help to:
- Improve surface trueness – filling small irregularities and imperfections to create a smoother playing surface.
- Support thatch management – helping dilute the accumulation of organic material within the upper turf profile when used regularly.
- Encourage good drainage – helping maintain a more open and consistent growing profile.
- Support overseeding – providing a fine covering around newly sown grass seed, helping retain moisture and encourage successful establishment.
- Repair worn areas – helping improve the overall quality, smoothness and consistency of the turf surface.
The fine 3mm-screened texture makes Eco Dressing particularly suitable for closely mown turf, allowing the material to be worked down into the grass and small surface imperfections.
Eco Dressing for Domestic Lawns
Eco Dressing isn’t just for bowling greens. It is also an excellent choice for homeowners looking to achieve a smoother, more even lawn.
A light application can help level minor dips and uneven areas, improve the lawn surface and provide a fine covering for new grass seed following overseeding or repair work.
For best results, apply Eco Dressing evenly and work it gently into the turf, leaving the existing grass visible. Deeper hollows are best improved using our lawn repair mix.
Please note: this product is moisture controlled not kiln dried, it ideally applied through a professional belt feed spreader and is not suitable for a domestic fertiliser spreader
How much do you need?
2kg per m2 for a light dressing, 4kg per m2 for a medium dressing & 6kg per m2 for a heavy dressing.
