Description
Creating a new lawn or giving an existing one some attention? Bailey’s 4mm Screened Norfolk Topsoil gives you a fine, natural soil that’s easy to work with and ideal for larger lawn projects.
Carefully sourced in Norfolk, our 100% natural topsoil is finely screened to approximately 4mm, removing the majority of larger stones, roots and debris. The result is a finer, more consistent soil that is easy to rake, spread and level.
Delivered loose by tipper, it’s a convenient and cost-effective option when you need a larger quantity for your garden or landscaping project.
A great foundation for a new lawn
Good preparation can make all the difference when creating a lawn. The fine texture of our 4mm screened topsoil makes it particularly suitable for preparing the ground before laying turf or sowing grass seed.
It can be raked and levelled to help create the smooth, even seedbed or turfing surface needed to give your new lawn a great start.
Ideal for lawn topdressing and leveling
Bailey’s 4mm Screened Norfolk Topsoil is also an excellent choice for topdressing established lawns.
Its fine texture makes it easier to spread and work into the existing lawn surface, making it useful for leveling minor dips and uneven areas or adding a fresh layer of natural soil.
100% natural Norfolk topsoil
Unlike manufactured topsoils that may be created by combining various by-products with materials such as sand or compost, Bailey’s topsoil starts as genuine, naturally occurring Norfolk soil.
Topsoil is much more than simply something for plants to grow in. It is a complex living ecosystem containing microbes and other organisms that play an important role in maintaining healthy soil and supporting plant growth.
Our Norfolk Topsoil forms the foundation of many of the specialist topdressings and growing blends we supply to professional grounds staff and greenkeepers.
